| Notes | "The Crawfords of Adams Co., Ohio"Compiled by H. Marjorie Crawford, Ph.D, 1976.Came to this country with his brother-in-law Samuel McClung landing in Phildelphia 3 Aug 1817. Sent Samuel back to Ireland to bring his wife and 3 children, Robert, Margaret and John. They arrived in this country in 1818. They stayed for some time with Fanny Crawford Walker in PA. then went to Virginia and finally came down the Ohio River in a flat-boat in 1825 to Manchester. From there they went to Steam furnace. In Feb. 1827 he purchased 184 acres on Brush Creek and both he and his wife are buried on this farm, near the Sproull Bridge, close to Dunkinsville, Ohio. | Notes | . |
